I UFO FEST (II):No Comments
Dear all, UFO changes its location and format.
The final location is going to be at our friends house Compañía de Cervezas del Valle del Kahs, a comfortable and versatile place, well connected to Madrid city centre via “Metro” (Subway) and bus. A pleasant location where we move our first fest that is so especial for us.
The breweries, timetable, condition and offer will remain the same. Since the capacity is less, we have decided to change the system of bracelet and all included for a system of tokens.
In any case, we will be glad for having you all in the event, we are going to give our best to make sure this change is an improvement.
We apologize for this inconvinient, which we coulnd’t avoid to happen.
Regards fron all the Yria Team.
Yria (III): Our beer productsNo Comments
Hi! Today we resume Yria’s saga. In the second post we talked about the beer brewed until that moment. Today we are going to tell you about the products we make by using beer, our productos derived from beer: beer jam! Yeah, baby! Beer jam! To begin with, we will tell you a interesting data: the jam is made of beer, our beer. Let’s see, the jam is made with three ingredients:
Indeed, it is a reduction of beer with sugar and the pectin gives the jam the accurate texture. The curious thing about it is that it has no alcohol, it has less sugar than the common jams, which means it has a lot of beer.We carry out its making in a factory of Murcia, like the nomad format, the same way we brew our beers. Now, we have made two beer jam types:
Porter beer jam
Golden Ale beer jam
Now we have available in the online shop the second one, the Golden Ale beer jam:
When we have available again the Porter one we will tell you about it. Meanwhile, we want to remind you that we also have available our collaboration beer with De Molen. If you don’t know about this, here you have the post we wrote about this beer some weeks ago: http://www.cervezasyria.com/2017/12/26/de-molen-yria-oye-ohja/?lang=en
Our collaboration with De Molen is called Oye! & Ohja! Baltic Porter beer of law level fermentation with hints of liqourice roots. Limited. Here you have the design of the beer label and the link of the online shop:
Enjoy! See u!
DE MOLEN + YRIA = ¡Oye! & ohja!No Comments
Good morning everyone! Firts of all:
From Yria, we wish you Merry Chistmas and a lot of beers from Santa and the Three Wise Men. There’s no harm in asking!
We have a surprise for you this week. Santa has visited us too, and he left a present for you all:
DE MOLEN AND YRIA!
¡Oye! & ohja!
Yes! That’s the name of the beer we’ve brewed together, a wordgame with the two languages. The beer is still on progress but we’ll tell you somethings. It is a Baltic Porter with liquorice and 10%. Delicious!
As always, we are going to tell you how the process was. Our first visit to Holland was four years ago. At that moment, we went to participate in the Bier and Big Fest of Bierbigradier.
This was our srtand during the festival.
We can’t believe it! Four years since that fest…Time flies! Well, We liked De Molen so much that we fell in love with it and this year we have gone back there to make a collaboration with our dear friends from De Molen.
Here you have some photos from our trip to Holland that received us covered with snow.
And yes, it was cold, reeeeeally cold.
Thank goodness everything
can be solved with
a good beer, right?
We wish we had those barrels with us righ now! OMG!
Well, for now, take a deep breath and be patience, which is the mother of all sciences. The new Baltic Porter is in progress and it will take a while. When it is ready, you will be the first to know. So, as usual, take a look from time to time to our social networks and this blog, we will keep you informed. For today is enough. We will see you next week and these great people of the photo below, we hope to see them sooner rather than later. Thank u so much! It has been a delight to work with you!
See you soon!
Yria(I): Nice to meet you!No Comments
Good morning! Probably you’ve started this week with enthusiasm. Since there’s a long weekeng ahead, Monday looks better this way, right? Well, let’s begin! For this week, we have prepared the first post of what is going to be a serie of posts about Yria. This way, we can depth in this nice relationship we began some posts ago. If that’s not your case, don’t worry! Please, be welcome, pick a beer, take a sit and enjoy!
We’ll begin with the introduction.
Yria was born in 2010 in Noblejas (Toledo). Yria was created by Ani and Ernesto, when they decided to become their own bosses and turn their hobby, brewing beer, into their job and life style. We always say that Yria is like a small family. Well, it is indeed. In 2010, not only Yria was born, but also the little Yria, Ani and Ernesto’s daughter. Both share name and age.
At the beginning, we work with the Gipsy brewing method, that is, renting the facilities of other brewing companies to make our beer and legally sell our product. It was a very unfamiliar method in Spain yet. We worked that way until we decided to have our own microplant located in Noblejas, thanks to the city hall and a collaborative project with other brewing companies.
And this is how Yria took its first steps and has never stopped since then. Since that moment, we have released more than thirty beers, of which we are going to tell you about in the next post.
For today it’s enough, but we won’t leave you twiddling your hands. We keep working, so you satisfy your thirst with new breweries available in the online shop. One of this breweries is The Wild Beer Co., coming from England with a wide range of beers, styles and formats. Here you have some links, just take a look!:

Falken Beer Club Openning in VitoriaNo Comments
Good morning! Since Monday is always hard for everyone, so we are going to tell you the adventure we have lived in Vitoria this weekend.
As we mentioned in the former post, the 29th October our friend and brewer Óscar from Falken planned to open the Falken Beer Club in Vitoria. A project in which Yria takes part, which is and honor and pleasure too. So, we took the road and went to Falken Beer Club to participate and share this great event with Óscar from Falken, the family, our good friends and the horde of people that packed the local. Tha bar was bursting at the seams. A thousand thanks to all who attended the opening and enjoy the good beers on tap.
After all the effort and eagerness, we are pleased with the local’s final result.
After the travell, when we arrived to the bar, we couldn’t stop thinking of the time remaining to the opening! In addition, there were really good beers on tap:
And the, the moment we and you have been waiting for arrived! We only have words of thanks to all who came and gave us the greatest happiness: fill the bar up and even the street!
The bar was filled up from the begining to the end of the openning. The best reward to all the sacrifice and the time invested is seeing you taking part and having fun with what we do. You know we also enjoy being in these events as well:
In addition, we have a little surprise for you:
We had it in Chinaski on Friday, so we have had it in Falken Beer Club to share them with you and finish the openning in the best possible way. Now it’s time to say goodbye, but only until the next time, ’cause we will come back. We wish Óscar the very best in this new adventure in which we walked by his side. This is not a farewell, this is…

Chronicle: 1st Mini Fest of International Craft Beer at Chinaski LavapiésNo Comments
First of all, THANKS to all people who participated and enjoyed as much as we did during the fest.
Today’s post is dedicated to all that happened in the fest. All the brewers invited to Chinaski Lavapiés delivers a speech about the brewery. This way, we discovered some curious things, for instance the brewery’s name of Vento Forte was chosen by Andrea’s mother ¡Bravo per la mamma! Also, Oud Beersel was about to close after four generations belonging to the same family, but Tea’s husband bought the brewery and continue brewing lambic beers. Thank goodness! While Elliot was telling as about Höp Cream’s ice creams, we couldn’t stop our mouths from watering, did you? Here you have some photos of the speeches:
Of course, let’s see the delicatessen, ambrosias and atmosphere of the fest.
As you can see, we had a lot of fun and we are glad of having shared this experience with all of you.
We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. See you son or see you in the next fest! (or the next post 😉).
